Blue heron skeleton surrounded by an array of flowers, heron eggs and stones
Approximately 30” x 10” x 12”
This 2-½ foot tall blue heron skeleton was created by Buck with the assistance of glass artist GingerELA in 2012.
All of the eggs and stones are hand-held dry pieces.
Each flower is a delicate sherlock that is exposed when turned upside down.
Each part in this masterpiece is functional. The head of the heron can be removed to expose the mouthpiece where air travels down to the spine, bubbling in the chest chamber and ending up between the shoulder blades.
